Miamber Burmilla and Burmese
Incorporating Blackglama Australian Bombays

When Purchasing a Burmilla
The most important question to ask when purchasing a Burmilla is "have the breeding stock been tested and certified negative for PKD"?. Burmilla breeders
who have DNA tested are able to provide certification that their stocks ancestry is DNA negative. If you do not know what PKD is please do your research -
there is a wealth of information on the internet about PKD.
Please be careful when you are looking into purchasing a Burmilla - there have been many advertisements lately on the internet stating that they have entire
Burmilla for sale. All of Australias current ACF and CCCA registered breeders of Burmilla desex their cats before sale.
Always ask to see pedigree papers of the parents and ask to see a certificate to say that the breeder is registered with a Cat Council, NOT a Municipal Council
About Desexing.
There are many reasons why we early desex our kittens, apart from the committment not to contribute to cat overpopulation by selling undesexed kittens
which can be used indiscriminiately for breeding, we have a committment to cats health and ability to be well behaved indoor pets. Unneutered males have
very unpleasant habits such as territorial spraying and aggression.
Pet Insurance
Please, please seriously consider insuring your pet, vet bills are becoming horrendously expensive, and accidents and illness do happen. Your kitten is your
responsibility once it leaves here, and you would be surprised at what can happen. Owning a pet is a financial and emotional committment, for the life of the
animal.

Are you ready for a Miamber or Blackglama kitten?
Our kittens are special. They are rare, stunningly beautiful to look at and touch, affectionate and loyal. They are inside only cats!!
Of course, they can enjoy the garden in their own cat run, on a harness and leash, or when they are properly trained and will return on command, can
accompany you into the garden for lunch or a bit of weeding. But they should never, under any circumstances, be left unattended outside at any time. They
are much too special for that.
If you can guarantee you will do this with your kitten, then one of our kittens is for you and your family.

Vet Fees, Food, Litter,Show entry fees, healthcare and the cost of cat housing and transporting have all gone up,the cost of producing a quality, healthy
andcorrectly typed kitten have all increased. Unfortunately, even though this is a hobby, we can no longer afford to absorb the cost of our hobby into our
own income. You will note a difference in pricing between females and males, this is due to the higher cost of desexing females.

Cats for Breeding.
We no longer wish to send cats for breeding for many and varied reasons, not the least of which is other breeders rarely have the consideration and care of the
animals future as we would wish. However, individual cases will be taken under consideration, and pre-existing committments made will be honoured.
Due to a high demand for our kittens, and not wanting to produce more kittens than are wanted, we have decided for the first
time in 15 years to run a Waiting List. If you wish to have a kitten from us that has not been born yet, the Waiting List is
available to ensure you get the kitten of your dreams To read our Waiting List information please click
here
We have a ENQUIRY FORM you can fill out to provide us with some information about yourself, this will help us with our kitten placements
In addition to all our care taken we also abide by the Code of Ethics as required by members of The Governing
Council of the Cat Fancy Victoria of which we are financial members. Click
