Health Guarantee - Sample Document of Sale
Why we offer a Health Guarantee on every one of our sold kittens.
One of our goals at Miamber and Blackglama is to produce quality kittens with excellent health and temperament from
fully pedigreed parents.
Anyone looking to purchase any kitten will rarely find a breeder willing to give a written health guarantee on their kittens.
At Miamber and Blackglama - we work very hard to maintain the highest standard of health and cleanliness in our cat
and kitten quarters we believe our kittens are as healthy and sturdy as we can make them we believe that new kitten
owners have the right to expect to purchase a healthy kitten we believe that new kitten owners should continue to
receive support when it is required regarding their kittens we believe it is reasonable that if a kitten is found to have a life-
threatening congenital defect in the first six months of its life, the kitten's breeder should bear some responsibility and
provide a written explanation of how they will support the new kitten owner.
What does our Health Guarantee cover?
(1) The kitten/cat is guaranteed to be in good health and free of any contagious condition at the time of sale.
(2) The kitten has been vet checked, vaccinated, wormed and fed a quality diet, the written details of which will be
(3) Our health guarantee does not cover any condition or disease contracted after the sale and the kitten has left the
premises, especially in the case of kittens mixing with other animals or allowed outside.
(4) All kittens offered for sale have been examined by our vet and given a clean bill of health. They have been given age
appropriate vaccinations and are de sexed, certification of this is provided with the kitten. Miamber Burmilla uses and
our vets recommend F3 Inactivated Vaccine. We do not recommend vaccinating for Chlamydia, Leukaemia, Feline
Aids, FIP or anything else and will not be held responsible for any health problems or death after one of our kittens
has been vaccinated with anything else other than F3.
(5) The seller guarantees that the kitten/cat is genetically sound to the best of their knowledge. The Seller will replace
the kitten/cat if it should die as the result of a genetic defect on or before its 12 month birthday and that defect is
evidenced in writing from a licensed veterinarian. Shipping charges will apply for replacement kittens.
Miamber Burmilla and Purchaser Agree to the Following
(1) The kitten is purchased as a pet, thus while it is healthy and purebred may not have some of the cosmetic attributes
of a show cat. Show cats are sold as such and naturally cost more. Miamber makes no guarantee of success on the
show bench
(2) Kittens will be de sexed before leaving. Our vet requires that the kitten be at least 1 kilo in weight before this surgery
is able to be performed. Some kittens take longer than others to reach this weight which means the age your kitten is
de sexed depends upon its development.
(3) We provide a pet pedigree but registration papers are not provided. We only supply registration papers for kittens
deemed to be worthy of being show or breeding quality, these kittens naturally cost more.
(4) The Seller will be available to answer any questions about the kittens well being or diet during reasonable hours on

substitute for veterinary advice and is based on 15 years experience breeding.
(5) The kitten/cat should be kept indoors at all times or contained in a suitable outdoor enclosure. The purchaser agrees
to provide a scratching pole, toys, quality food and clean water. Veterinary attention for a sick kitten should be sought
immediately.
(6) Under no circumstances should the kitten be sold, leased to or given to a pet shop, animal research facility or animal
shelter.
(7) If the purchaser is unable to take care of the kitten they agree to contact the Seller before taking any other action
(8) The Sales Agreement is for a PET kitten/cat and consists of two copies of this document.
(9) If you suspect the kitten has arrived in ill health and is deemed so by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of arrival
the purchaser should immediately notify the seller and may return the kitten at the purchasers own expense along
with a full veterinary report outlining the vet’s findings. (It is recommended that the purchaser isolate the kitten from
all other animals until after the veterinary inspection has been completed) The Seller will not be responsible for any
veterinary expenses.
(10) The Purchaser agrees to accept another kitten of equal value as soon as one is available.
(11) The Purchaser understands and accepts this can take up to 6 months.
(12) The Purchaser accepts there will be NO cash refunded. The purchaser accepts responsibility for any shipping
